Andy's portfolio spans from low power embedded software at the edge through cloud-based data analysis and visualization.
Andy is responsible for ThayerMahan Ocean Technology software development, with a remit that spans low power embedded software at the edge through to cloud-based data analysis and visualization. He is also responsible for the selection, design, and integration of acoustic sensors for ThayerMahan’s suite of autonomous vehicles.
Andy has spent more than 25 years designing and developing sonar systems for mine-hunting, anti-submarine warfare, and underwater intruder detection, as well as architecting multi-sensor maritime domain awareness capabilities.
He started his career in the United Kingdom and moved to the USA in 2009, becoming a proud citizen in 2022.
