Chris manages ThayerMahan's vessels; diverse maritime experience.

Bio

Chris is responsible for the management and operation of the ships and small vessels that ThayerMahan uses across all business lines.

During a varied maritime career Chris has served at sea as Master, mate, and sometimes engineer aboard a wide variety of vessels including offshore supply vessels, bulk carriers in worldwide trade, record setting racing yachts, research ships, training ships, tugs, and sail training ships.  In addition to  leadership positions at sea Chris has also served as the Sailing Master at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy where he oversaw experiential underway training of midshipmen in all areas of nautical science, and as the Senior Vice President of Watercraft Preservation and Programs at the Mystic Seaport Museum where he was responsible for the maintenance and operation of historic watercraft and the Museums Preservation Shipyard.   Chris and his wife, Tiffany, live on a small farm in Mystic, Connecticut.
